My grandfather migrated to the UK with determination and a vision for a better future. Buying a home wasn’t easy, but when he finally got the keys, everything changed. That home became more than just a place to live, it was security for my family and the foundation for our future.
I founded First Time Finance so foreign nationals in the UK don’t have to figure this out alone. The mortgage process can feel overwhelming, but many can get approved, they just need the right guidance.

I never planned to work in mortgages, but when someone suggested it, everything just clicked. I quickly realised how much of a difference the right advice can make, especially for foreign nationals navigating a system that wasn’t built for them. Helping people secure their first home isn’t just a job; it’s what drives me every day. When I’m not helping clients unlock doors, I’m probably attempting to convince people I have Spanish roots. A quarter Spanish, but with none of the tan!

I fell into the world of mortgages in 2016, and let’s just say, I never looked back! Every client is different, and I love researching the market to find the best options for them. My job is to take the stress off our advisers and clients by making sure everything behind the scenes is handled efficiently. Outside of work, I have three cats who act like they run the house (because, let’s be honest, they do). Also, if there’s sushi on the menu, I’m ordering it!

With a background in law and mortgage underwriting, I knew I wanted to be part of a team that helps people turn their dreams of homeownership into reality. Now, I guide clients through the mortgage application process, making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. When I’m not helping clients open new doors, you’ll probably find me in the pool. Fun fact: I used to compete in swimming back in high school but these days, it’s more ‘floating around’ than racing!

When I’m not deep in content creation, you’ll find me passionately supporting the New Zealand rugby team. Yes, even while living in South Africa. It’s a controversial life choice, but someone has to keep things interesting!
